Radiant Floor Heating
I Overview
Radiant floor heating systems heat rooms using a set of tubes permanently installed beneath the floor.
The operation of a radiant floor system is essentially identical to that of a snow melt system, in that hot water or a water/glycol solution is circulated through PEX tubing below the floor or surface. The only difference between the two is that snow melt systems are used outdoors while radiant floor systems are used indoors.
II Applications
Radiant floor heating is most commonly used in high-end homes or commercial buildings.
Radiant floor heating allows for the creation of different zones with different temperature settings.
