ACEEE released a new study Challenges Facing Combined Heat and Power Today: A State-by-State Assessment, which profiles CHP markets in each state and identifies which elements of the market are encouraging or discouraging CHP deployment.

A new report by the Western Governors' Association: "Industrial Energy Efficiency: Improving competitiveness, reducing emissions" is now available for download. The report draws attention to the value of industrial energy efficiency as an economic development strategy, and highlights the potential of CHP. It includes state policy recommendations in four areas, including policies to support combined heat and power.
