Southwest Gas' Spring Creek Expansion ProjectOctober 6th, 2 PM ET - ESC-AGA Webinar Series

Learn about Southwest Gas’ successful expansion project into Spring Creek. Spring Creek is located 4 hours east of Reno and 3.5 hours west of Salt Lake City. The average household income is just under $100,000 per year and most homes use a combination of wood, pellets, electricity and propane. This joint venture to bring natural gas to under-served and rural communities, under Senate Bill 151, is an excellent case study for other natural gas companies looking to run a similar project. (Webinar for members only)

Carbon Reduction Methods Consortium

In late 2021, ESC launched a new initiative focused on the key role that the natural gas industry can play in reducing GHG now and in the future.

The objective of the Carbon Reduction Consortium is to prepare a repository of customizable communication and marketing materials that enable utilities to educate and inform consumers about the benefits of natural gas as a low carbon solution more effectively. The work of the consortium is already well underway as they work to finalize handouts, infographics, and video messaging that can be utilized by members.

Gas Heat Pump Workshop for Customers, November 9, 2022

As the Gas Heat Pump market rapidly expands with the release of new equipment, there is a strong growth of commercialized thermally driven heat pumps. Most GHPs now offer heating efficiencies of approximately 140%.  This workshop is geared for C&I customers and this agenda/registration may be shared.

International Builders Show 2023, Jan 31-Feb 2, 2023

The International Builders’ Show (IBS) is organized annually by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and is the largest light construction building industry tradeshow in the United States. It is the only event of its kind, focusing specifically on the needs, concerns, and opportunities that face builders.

Several years ago, ESC took over as the lead organization on a large, comprehensive exhibit space to represent the natural gas industry at the show. Through the work of the ESC IBS Consortium, in partnership with AGA, we have been able to maintain a successful and effective presence at IBS.

We have recently experienced increased traffic volume at the ESC-AGA booth due to an expanding number of states and localities attempting to ban or significantly limit the use of natural gas in new construction and/or renovations. Builders and remodelers routinely visit the booth at the show, both to express their concerns over these developments and to ask questions about the industry’s involvement.

Now more than ever, it is critically important that the natural gas utility industry maintain a presence at the show.

While we are fortunate to have the support of the utility members of the ESC IBS Consortium, as well as 10-12 vendors of natural gas equipment that join us to showcase their products and the value of natural gas, the cost of maintaining the booth presence at the show continues to increase.

We need your support to be able to continue to promote the value of natural gas to the light construction industry.  Even if you are unable to attend the show in person, your contribution allows us work with builders and remodelers on behalf of the entire utility industry.
