Driving Innovations in Industrial Energy Efficiency
The Department of Energy's Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) has provided 13 million in funding manufacturing. With this portfolio, ITP is pursuing a relarively large number of projects with limited funding ($300,000 or less) to focus the best minds in the nation on resolving industry's challenges. The concept definition studies will use early-stage research, laboratory-scale experiments, data generation and analysis, and other exploratory methods to advance new, dramatically different manufacturing concepts and practices.
