Natural Gas Furnaces

Overview:

The heating system is the heart of a home or business-keeping people warm inside regardless of the outside temperature. Many homes and businesses use a forced hot air system for heating. Natural Gas hot air heating is more economical and feels more comfortable than an electric heat pump.

Newer two stage gas furnaces include variable speed drives for the supply fan that ultimately reduce operating costs, maintain a more comfortable environment, control humidity better, and run quieter.

Applications:

  • Residential (Home, Apartment, Condominium)
  • Commercial (Any commercial application can use a natural gas furnace)

How it Works:

Natural gas is burned to heat up a surface called the heat exchanger. Air moves across the heat exchanger, removing heat from the surface and circulates it back to the space to be heated.

Configurations:

Various configurations can be designed to carry the warm air through ductwork to where it is needed. Also, smaller area furnaces can provide local room heating.

Efficiency:

  • Standard Furnace: 78% – 82% Efficient
  • Condensing Furnace: 90% to 97% Efficient
