Waste Treatment and Thermal Oxidizers

I Overview
Thermal Oxidizers destroy Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) present in industrial air streams. These pollutants are generally hydrocarbon based, and when destroyed via thermal or catalytic combustion, are chemically changed to form CO2, H2O and other oxidized compounds.

II Applications
Thermal oxidizers are useful in a large variety of industries that may need to regulate emissions.

III Equipment Options
Various types of oxidizers may use afterburners, recuperative, catalytic, regenerative, and regenerative catalytic processes to control and convert pollutants. Catalytic and regenerative catalytic oxidizers use precious metal or metal-oxide catalysts to oxidize VOCs instead of an open flame.
