Vericor Power Systems was formed in 1999 as a subsidiary of MTU Aero Engines, a DaimlerChrysler company.

The cornerstone of Vericor Power Systems' cogeneration systems is its line of compact, lightweight and fuel efficient aeroderivative gas turbines.

The ASE™8, ASE™40, and ASE™50 gas turbines are "derived" from Honeywell's established and proven aerospace technology. There are more than 20,000 Honeywell aero engines in service today with over 20 million hours of proven performance. This new generation of high performance, ground-based gas turbines incorporates state-of-the-art materials and coatings, and offers thermal efficiencies ranging up to 35%.

Similar to their aero engine counterparts, Vericor Power Systems units can be continuously started and stopped. This means that users can easily meet varying power or steam requirements without compromising the gas turbines' performance.
