In 2002 Krieger/Jagenberg merged with Voith Paper Group of Companies. KRIEGER drying systems have their main application in drying coating media, particularly on paper coating machines. However, Krieger provided the IR heaters used in the paper making line at the Corrugated Services LP (CSLP) Plant, located in Forney, Texas, and have experience in all aspects of the paper industry.

For more than 30 years KRIEGER has devoted their resources to the development of innovative drying-related technologies for the Pulp & Paper industry. The quality and performance characteristics of our products combined with our unequalled expertise in the resolution of drying-related problems have clearly established KRIEGER as the leader, and as a sought-after partner to the industry throughout the world. This success could not have been possible without the confidence of our customers in our technology and in our organization. In excess of 1000 installations of drying systems worldwide, more than all other manufactures of infrared systems combined, provide tangible proof that KRIEGER is synonymous with gas-fired infrared drying.

Technological progress must come from the industry leader. Such progress must integrate the changing needs and priorities of the industry with the latest advancements in materials and application technology. The patented all stainless steel emitter introduced by KRIEGER was the breakthrough that has directly led to the wide acceptance of infrared energy as a versatile, and often essential, drying tool in the industry.

Today the KRIEGER emitter, continuously modified and improved through taking full advantage of all technological developments in materials and manufacturing techniques, has become the industry standard against which all others are measured.

There is simply no other emitter on the market that can match the advantages of the KRIEGER emitter:

  • Highest power output of any gas-fired emitter
  • Highest documented reliability of any emitter. With more than 100,000 emitters installed worldwide, the statistical average life is in excess of 5 years.
  • Highest documented energy efficiency of any emitter.
  • Impervious to thermal shock.
  • No open flames.

KRIEGER developed the concept of Circulation Air as an important and essential part of any infrared system. Increased energy efficiency and improved quality are some of the advantages of this system. Often copied, but never duplicated, the KRIEGER Circulation Air System remains an important aspect of the unique KRIEGER expertise.

KRIEGER has also pioneered the application of gas-fired infrared technology for the correction of Cross Directional Moisture Profile Variations. The patented control system offers a turn-down from 0% to 100% for each 150mm (6") CD zone, either manually or automatically. No other gas-fired infrared system can match KRIEGER in this area.

Solenoid valves, especially developed for this application and for the often hostile ambient environments, make certain that the profiler has the longest life of any system on the market.
