UTC Fuel Cells' Energy Center expands lifestyle choices for homes and operating capabilities for light commercial applications. Our 5kW fuel cell power plant uses PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) technology to supply clean, reliable power.

UTC Fuel Cells' Energy Center can provide homeowners with an on-site source of electrical power that can supplement the utility network or provide power to homes where electricity is unavailable. The compact, quiet design of the product allows you to locate your Energy Center in the yard or garage of your home. For off-grid applications, the Energy Center will provide a primary power source with minimal noise and emissions.

Product Status

UTC Fuel Cells has developed an initial prototype of its 5kW Energy Center and, in conjunction with our distribution partners, plans to begin the beta field test of our fuel cell power plant. After the beta test results indicate the product is ready for commercial use, we will announce specification, price and date of commercial availability. (as of web site 8/2002)
