Emissions Control

Overview

The emissions that are produced from the various distributed generation equipment are described in detail in the sections under “Emissions” in the technology section. The focus of this section is on the various aftertreament technologies and systems for control of NOx, CO and VOC emissions from distributed generation units where required. For information on the vendors that provide equipment, see Emissions Control Technology Vendors.

Aftertreament control systems for natural gas reciprocating engines include

Natural gas combustion turbines utilize:

Microturbines, due to their relatively small size and low operating temperatures, have not been required to add any post-combustion controls.
