Southern Natural Gas is a major pipeline system serving seven southeastern states, including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee. The system consists of over 13,500 miles of pipeline, powered by nearly a half-million horsepower of compression. Southern is just one of five interstate pipelines making up the El Paso Pipeline Group, with a total of 60,000 miles of pipeline.

Southern LNG, a division of Southern Natural Gas, is reactivating the Elba Island Liquefied Natural Gas Import Terminal in Savannah, Georgia to serve growing markets on the eastern end of its service territory.
