Gaz Métropolitain Inc. (SCGM) is the major natural gas distributor in Québec.

In Québec, the Company serves some 160,000 customers in 259 municipalities through its huge 8,493 km long gas grid. 97% of the natural gas consumed in Québec is delivered by Gaz Métropolitain.

The Company also operates in the Northeast of the USA. It owns 100% of Vermont Gas Systems (VGS), the only distributor of natural gas in Vermont, where it operates an 815 km distribution grid serving nearly 30,000 customers.

The Company holds 50% of TransQuébec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc., a huge network of gas pipelines in Québec. It is a minority shareholder of PNGTS (19.1%), a gas pipeline which transports natural gas from Lachenaie, north of Montreal, to the USA. It also owns (100%) of Champion PipeLine Ltd., which operates two gas pipelines in Abitibi.
